Midweek metropolitan racing heads back to Ipswich for an eight race card. A very quiet day for the stable with just the three runners. The in-form Kinetic will be looking to win three in a row, and consistent mare Inasec will be hoping to go back-to-back if she gains a start in the last.

Please note: although we have runners that handle wet ground, with the track currently rated a heavy 10 and some uncertainty around the meeting, we have very little betting confidence today.

Perceptive is second-up for the stable after an honest fresh up run over 1200m here late last month. The step up in trip and cut out of the ground will suit, and she has performed well second-up before. Ryan will need some luck early from the wide draw, but with the right run in transit, we expect her to be very competitive in a race like this.

3. Kinetic | J: Ben Thompson

Kinetic is in terrific form, winning her last two starts. She stepped up to the mile at Eagle Farm last start and won well, and the 1700m around Ipswich certainly looks like it will suit her. She is ultra consistent and looks to have found another winnable race here. Ben will likely find a forward position in the run and be very strong late. She is our best winning chance of the day.

Inasec returned to the winners circle with an impressive win at the metropolitan meeting at Toowoomba three weeks ago. She has good form on wet ground, and has proved she is up to this grade. If she can get some cover from the wide draw, we expect her to be right in the finish.
