This consistent mare has drawn nicely in four, and with Angela’s claim, she is well placed in this race. She will race on speed and if she runs out a strong mile, will be right in the finish.

8. Caesaris | J: Ryan MaloneyCaesaris heads back to the races after being narrowly beaten at the Sunshine Coast three weeks ago. Ryan will be looking to get some luck early in the race from the tricky draw, but if he can give her a nice run, she has the form to be competitive in this race. It looks a race with only a few chances, and she only needs to hold her form to run well again.

7. Immoral | J: Ryan MaloneyImmoral will be looking to go back-to-back after a confidence boosting win at Beaudesert on Anzac Day. He will race just off the speed from the good gate, and is certainly going good enough to be in the finish of a race like this. It is a competitive race, but there is no reason why he won’t run well again.

8. Moreton Bay | J: Ms Melea CastleMoreton Bay is heading back to Ipswich after winning here second-up three weeks ago. Apprentice Melea Castle stays on board, and she will need a little luck from the tricky barrier. The plan will be to roll forward and, provided she doesn’t do too much work in the run, she should be in the finish again.

14. Drammatica | J: Ben ThompsonDrammatica is second-up for the preparation after a good run first-up at the Sunshine Coast. She is another that will need some luck from the wide draw but, she is going really well and the step up to 1200m will suit her. If she can get some cover, she is a great winning chance.
